The Meth Epidemic: Analysis

The Meth Epidemic: Analysis

This documentary focuses on the issue of meth prouction and use in America but particularly on a town called Oregon and how its has been 'Destroyed by meth use' over the years. The veiwer is also educated about the drug itself and how it affects users and thier families.

Camera

- Close upa of parephinalia, addicts and money
- There are many different shots within the first 5 minutes because of the introductory montage with narration that is featured.

Sound

- A narrator talks over the visual montage and the images reflect the subject matter. There is then some A roll footage played of a police 'meth raid'. There is some atmospheric tension music played at one point but nothing more abstract than that. The documentary is broken up by a narrator with a godly voice.

Editing
- There's a lot of editing used in the opening of the documentary which makes it more engaging. It features not only cuts between A and B roll footage, but camera effects which keeps variety
